Frame Crack please Help

i need a help please i have a crack under the steering unit
i weld it but now it's also cracked i need a help please i need the best way to finish this problem once 4 all anyone help
and i need the steps to do it like the type of weld or something please ?

you need to get it plated with some 1/4 inch flat steel plate

Drill the end of the cracks. Grind off that old weld. Plate the frame on both sides. The plates should have a diamond shaped point. It is called fish plating because of the shape. As stated plate both sides of the frame and the bottom. That means you will need to have all bolt holes there. Use cardboard to make yourself a template for the plate. 3/16" plate would be more than sufficient.

Another idea is when I did my rear subframe on my XJ, I made the bottom plate slightly wider than the bottom of the subframe. That way my side plates sit on the base plate.

Where your subframe cracked is very common from wheeling. The steering box pulls on the subframe where it mounts.
