well FINALLY I was able to take my jeep out and test out the axle setup!
went to the local place few miles from my house, got there around 11:00 A.M. and aired down waited for 4 other guys from Waco ( bout 2 hours away) they showed up promptly at 11:15 , greeted my new found friends and noticed one of my trailer tires was going flat so I prayed that was my ONLY issue for the day So i took the trailer back to the front gate where they had an air compressor and I plugged it and seriously prayed to God that THAT was the only problem I had today!
so without further adieu here are pics in no particular order... cause I cant recall which order they go in!
on a side note more pics will be coming in later as I get em from the others who were there yesterday.

ok had to get the cliche scenery picture out of the way!

My house is in the background a few miles out!

oh yeah remember when I was asking about the incredible heat coming from the floor boards... I had a 3 A.M. epiphany yesterday morning ... problem COMPLETELY solved!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2203.jpg
that is one single windshield thingy you buy to keep heat out of your car.. it worked AWESOME! it got up to 103 yesterday and my feet were perfectly fine!

found a little bit of mud...
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/2012-08-04150355.jpg

damn!... I was trying to stagger my stance one tire on high point of ruts and one on the shoulder of the trail... I slipped back into the ruts... and HARD!

http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/2012-08-04150404.jpg

we decided to take a lunch break and get my but back to the compressor and get aired back up I decided to go with 23 lbs of air this time... last time I was at like 3lbs, and cleaned off cause I dont care for the mud!... then we ran into town and ate some taco bell and headed back to the trails!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/2012-08-04185850.jpg
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2204.jpg

that hill was WAY to bumpy for 23 lbs... SOOOOO I aired down again but this time to 10 lbs

http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2206.jpg
we ventured out into what used to be a very busy creek however NOW it is bone dry!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2207.jpg
my mini me back there!

http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2208.jpg

this part scared me pretty good but it turns out THIS view is way scarier than the obstacle really was!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2209.jpg

we made it over with no problem at all
then on to the standar wheel width XJ... he was able to fit between the rock and the wall

moving along while the other XJ was manuevering the rock the yota guy asked if I could get my tire up on the side of the ravine onto a rock ... just to see! so I did... and dropped a spring!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2210.jpg

well about .25 mile down the road we found where all the water had gone to... this mudhole. so seth ventured out just to give it a check!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2213.jpg
and deeper
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2212.jpg
and even deeper
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2211.jpg
we had to pull him back and take the bypass for time sake!

soooo we proceeded down the creek bed and found a nice ledge!!!
yota had to bump it a tad!

I had to bump it once and got up it...

http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2217.jpg

we couldnt figure out WHY it was dying so we checked fuel, good, spark none...so two guys ran into town to buy an ignition coil for $30 BUCKS ... got back and swapped the ignition coil
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2219.jpg
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2218.jpg
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2220.jpg
... NOTHING! soooo for the next hour or so we were trying to get his XJ out of the hole!!!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2221.jpg
first we tried hooking to the yota... and just pulled the yota backwards
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2227.jpg
next we decided to use the hi lift!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2222.jpg
which was doing ok but we needed something more!
TWO hi lifts are better than one!!!!!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2223.jpg
DOUBLE FISTED!!!!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2228.jpg
call us redneck or whatever you want.... but it worked!!!!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2229.jpg
at this point we been out trying to get his jeep out of that hole for 2 hours... the guy in the yellow shirt.... nope not HIS jeep
the guy with NO shirt... nope he owns the yota....
the guy in the red shirt... nope he was passenger!!!.... sooooo whose jeep is it....

THIS GUYS JEEP!!!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2227.jpg
HE WAS AN awesome SUPERVISOR!
ANYHOW once we got the front wheels up the ledge we un hooked and move the cable to a tree up the hill in an effort to get his jeep pointed towards an exit
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2230.jpg
had to give it a little boost on the back side ... were talking a 35 inch ledge here!
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2232.jpg
oh yeah and watch your step...
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2233.jpg
these guys are everywhere
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/IMG_2235.jpg
and ANOTHER one
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/2012-08-04224044.jpg
... anyhow now that we are aimed in the right direction the owner of the jeep, while on his supervisory perch , was looking at google on his phone to figure out the problem... I had told him to look into the crankshaft position sensor... he found something and decided to check it out on his jeep.... apparently his CPS plug came loose... soooo we plugged it back int and gave it a shot.
SOOOOO now were back on the trail LOL!
we decided since the fix was an easy one that we would continue down the creek bed, at the end of the bed it got REALLLLLYYYYYY narrow
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/2012-08-04231613.jpg
this was the other XJ after I went through it and lost the REAR bead seat on the passenger side!
it just pinched it toooooo tight

anyhow here is the other XJ leaving the creek bed as we have now decided to call it a night as it was already 11:45 and midnight was the park wheeling curfew
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m590/XJ4IV/2012-08-04231626.jpg

So to sum it alllll up I had a great time the jeep did GREAT
need to figure out some bead locks and FAST!
need to figure out a high steer design of my jeep cause I noticed the tierod was hitting the differential cover ... ANNNNDDDD I need a new steering gear box! mine is leaking like crazy now from a wreck that happened last year!
oh yeah and it needs a new head gasket and a head job!

checked into bead locking the ole H2 wheels... looking like ballistic USED to do em for 350 for the set but they discontinued them for some reason... looks like Ill be trading off for some steel wheels cause this thing DEFINITELY aint holding up without em!

Scott, do internals. Then you get both beads protected and it is cheaper.

Staun is the only one that i know of, any others?

There is an outfit in Canada making them cheaper. Also just read about Inner Air Beadlocks in the new Petersons mag.

Nice trip, looks like alot for except for the little "love bugs", it was sad to see a yota tuggin a Jeep but I guess it happens. In conclusion I will give you all props, it is a braver man than I that will eat taco bell and then wheel for hours. :)

ONLY reason Im not wheeling a 4 runner is cause I didnt wanna have to do the solid axle swap right away! thats a TON of work and what "love bugs"? the Scorpions/???
