ok so my 1990 xj is a limited and has the most retarded ABS system that i have ever seen, the brake pedal has to travel 3/4 of the way to stop and i have to use a fair amount of pressure to do it.
the system is not working, and with the cost of new parts i dont want to start replacing wheel sensors or pressure accumulators or flux capacitors :bang:

so my question is =
Can i swap in a brake booster and master cylinder from a 1994 grand cherokee?
and if so, what else would i need to get rid of the abs system ?

Yes you can. But there is a slight modification on the pushrod required. No big deal. Since you are doing that, you might consider the rear discs from the grand also. You will need the ebrake cables with it. That will give you better stopping power and less rear wheel lock up on the ice.

I would def say pick up some parts from a ZJ out of the junk yard including the rear brakes.. Will be a huge upgrade, not only that but getting rid of the useless ABS system..
