Hi there, New to the forum and new to jeeps
have wanted one of these for a long time and this one kind of fell in to my hands by accident :D
its a 1990 4.0L limited with a AW4 trans with a NP242 t-case
it has about 3inches of lift and some 33x12.5r15's
D30 up front and D35 at the back with a Lsd
it has some tint, light bar, driving lights,
the A/C compressor has been converted to an air compressor
and it has a 2,5" side exhaust with open style mufflers
some fender flares made a long time ago by an fiberglass boat maker here
on the plan
35" tires on 12" wide wheels
Regearing
do something about the cooling system
Roofrack would be nice
figuring out why the electric seats don't work
repairing the little rust that there is

:welcome: to xjtalk. Those are some interesting flares. Do you know if that is after market. They look so well done, they look like factory flares.
Great pictures, thanks!

Are you already aware of the extreme limitations of the Dana 35? Many people say you shouldn't run anything over a 31" tire on one, and 35's would be a very bad idea off road unless you dump some money into beefing up the axle.
Just what I've read, no personal experience.

well, modifying trucks is a well known trade here, there have been flares like these made for almost all the major 4x4 trucks (toyotas, nissan´s, fords, etc.)
most of them by local fiberglass company's, and today can be tricky to get a hold of.

i and most of the modified XJ´s around here hardly ever have problems with the D35 (even on 38"´s)
you have to take in consideration that most cars here are modified for snow driving and i don´t think that is as hard on these as these rock-crawling trails most of you off-road on :)

exactly !
As long as i don´t run some crazy offset wheels and murder my bearings i´m not really concerned about the D35
and if all hell breaks loose, there is always the trusty D44

That is a whole different world of wheeling up there. I have seen a number of very nice looking XJs set up for snow wheeling up there with low lifts and lots of cutting on the fenders to clear those big tires you guys use. And of course some really nice looking glass flares

Sixteen US gal is the standard size tank, but I haven't seen one yet. All of them have the upgraded 20 gal tank.
