Thats a good looking waggy. Those gold grand cherokee wheels go good with the woodgrain.

Thanks for the comments. I bought this jeep for my brother in law from a family friend about a year ago. He had some engine, transmission, and other issues and got tired of repairs so he bought a 2007 jeep wrangler. I bought this one back from him.

While he had it (was completely stock) he changed the rims (I now know they are Grand Cherokee rims, thanks for that), stripped out the stereo in an attempt to change it, lost some bits and pieces, etc... I'll be putting an effort together to make it a family wagon to hit the beach and go camping in. I'm more interested in offroad reliliablity than extreme 4X4, so I'm thinking, with my limited Jeep knowledge, that a 2" lift, some replacement bumpers, a roof rack, and some TLC, I should be able to get about there.

I came here for experience and advice. I'll be working on the Jeep next year after I do my research first.. I have to sell off all the parts from my 93 Mark VIII before I start this project, anyone want a Ford 4.6 DOHC? :)

A roof rack and trailer hitch have been added on and some rusted in bolt heads broken off. Also had a fuse fail to pop and take out my taillight wiring, working on that for now with the fuse box pulled out. I'll be looking at adding the lift kit, but will probably want an experienced hand along side. I've got air and tools if anyone would like a good dinner for it... Hope to make a trip out with hjp or some xj's soon.
Mike
