Looking for another XJ

My old '88 (300,000 mi) is getting a little undependable so I'm looking for one a little newer. It must be 4X with better gas mileage (daily driver)...probably no newer than a 2006...I'd sure appreciate your opinion of what year you'd look for...Thanks..

will they stop making the xj cherokee in 2001 i have aq 2000 i would look for nothing newer than a 1999. 2000 is the first year they went with the coil bolted on the plugs and the abs takes up alot of room.

My favorite year is a 98, I've owned alot of xj's and they seem to have been the best xj's.
