whats up guy thank you for all your help can you help mw with this one i have a 1995 cherokee 4x4 4.0 my boddy gave me a 4.o motor for spare but the jeep it came of of is not 4x4 and its a 1990

4.0L came in two flavors, Renix and HO. I think the 1990 is a Renix. Other than that 4wd or 2wd are the same with the exception of transmission, transfer case and front axle.

Someone will jump in here and correct or confirm me. :D

C'mon guys, give Adrian a break. Renix era 4.0s were called that because of the electronic stuff to run it. After Chrysler bought Jeep from AMC, they used their own electronics and upped the horsepower and called it high output. This was done with better flow in the head.
