Came home from the hospital last night to find the storms we had come through Tuesday had taken their toll on the trees in our yard (we have been staying in Conroe at my grandpas old house). Got a better look at it today and measured them up.

Two trees had snapped off, one right next to the house.

The farther one was approximately 65 feet overall that 31 feet long had broken off. It was right at 10" diameter at the end.

Leaving about 35 feet still in the ground.

The one near to the house seemed around 70 feet overall, the horizontal part measured up at 55 feet. 17" in diameter.

20 feet still standing. Just that close to the house.

Contacted the insurance today, but they aren't gonna check it out till next week.

The big one looks like it, that drought last year took out 800,000 trees in the Houston area alone.
