Looking at a stock JK in the hotel parking lot today and couldn't help but wonder if anyone has considered putting stock JK front fenders on cut XJ front fenders? Just wondering how it would look/work???? Yep, I are a sick minded little puppy sometimes! lol:rolleye0012:

there is but only one way to find out .....someone has to be first......like someone had the same thought years back when they seen a stock tj sitting there....

good to see people thinking outside the box....so to speak...

Jk fenders no I haven't seen that. A lot of xjs use tj fenders bough. In which they don't look have bad. I tried to line up my friends jk ones wit mine an there to wide and big you'd need a lot of modding and cuttin. To get it to work

Considered, yes. I was talking to Mark at Payless about this months ago. But that is as far as it went. The idea of the width appealed to me since I will go to full width axles someday. It looks like either tube fenders or JK fenders now.

I'm fairly sure they are wider at the front than the rear. might look silly... unless... you narrow the front sheet metal to compensate. oh geeze... now I'm not gonna sleep tonight.

In my case, I was thinking two sets of rears.

This would be the only way to do it and have it look right , Ive done this several times with TJ flairs but never a JK. Your the test rabbit now get on it and dont forget the pics !!!

I think I will probably go for the tube flares, or maybe a combo, haven't decided yet :sign0181:

the best thing about tube flares, you can set them up anyway you want them to look for both front and rear. Oh, and they don't break like plastic, store bought flares can and have been known to do.
