Re drill rims

has anyone tried to redrill rims from 5.5 to 4.5 uni-lug style?

Not personally but I have heard it tried, from what I understand it didn't turn out well. But I did make him a heck of a deal on the new rims :)

Yeah just a rediculous price for 4, found a guy with rims and tires from a ram and they are 5.5's . miss those uni-lug days.

It can be done by a good machine shop. Had a set of wheels re-drilled for a nissan pick up once. Was about $100 for all four. Lots of the custom import truck guys do it, and I nor many of them have ever had a problem.

will the Jeep be a wheeler or drivin on the highway? If it was me a wheeler would be fine,but if its gonna run down the road at high speeds make sure you have a hub centric fit

Mostly on road, it doesn't leave the road often and its gotta get me down the snow covered lane to the hard road in winter.
