For all you oldsters, Nellybelle was the CJ2A Jeep owned by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. OK, you don't know who that was either right. They were movie stars in the early 50s who were quite popular. The pretty much stock Jeep was auctioned off for more than $116,000 recently. That is a pile of cash for an old Jeep, but not as much as his Bonneville that went for $254,000

I don't know about you mate, but if I paid that much for a flatfender, I would be polishing it every day.

I'd bet money that Nellybelle will be in a museum out of harms way and probably well cared for. I don't remember ever seeing it "polished". I saw all the movies and watched the show. Met Roy and Dale when I was a Kiddo. I also was a big fan of the Lone Ranger, Hoppalong Cassidy, Howdy Doody.

Don't forget Captain Kangaroo, a real life tough guy. (Commando in WWII) And Don Adams from Get Smart, another one.

Remember seeing Nellybelle at the old Roy Rogers museum out in So Cal. A bygone era that had many a good westerns.
