Read an article in Automotive News regarding the possibility that this is the new Jeep Liberty.

Looks like it might get a 3.2 liter Pentastar V6 which may likely use Fiats MultiAir variable valve timing and have better MPG than the current 2wd Liberty. The new Liberty should be around 500lbs lighter than the previous Liberty. Supposedly some will carry the "Trail Rated" badge as well.

I saw something that looked just like that yesterday. It had Nissan badges on it

With Sergio Marchionne at the helm of Chrysler, I say ANYTHING is possible, he plans on REALLY pushing the Jeep brand......Watch out for future Diesel changes in Dodge trucks as well, Fiat is a leader in diesel overseas.

The man's got nuts!

I like that over the years they have kept the "Jeep look" mainly to the front clips.... the appearance of those headlights, while cool looking, sort of worry me. Almost looks like the new Ferrari SUV too.

Per Automotive News the new Liberty will share a platform with the Dodge Dart. Really... a front wheel drive car will share platforms with a Jeep that is supposedly going to be "trail rated". :out:

They say it will also feature a 3.2 liter engine and 9 speed auto.

If anything I'd say it may the the next Compass but not a Libby. Speaking of Libbys, I'm really digging the style of the latest batch. They got rid of the curvy body lines and went for a more cut & boxy look, like it means business. Someone at work has the Arctic edition and it looks good. Too bad they're IFS

If you haven't seen it the 2014 Grand Cherokee had its debut yesterday at the Detroit Auto Show.

And they have managed to make it worse. I just don't understand why Chrysler would allow competing models like this, i mean, the Caravan is already so popular how could it have a chance?

Really does look like a Grand Caravan from the back... however they are supposed to be putting a diesel in the 2014 Grand Cherokee which could lead the way to diesels in other Jeep models..... or bomb like the last time they tried. Will have to see.
