Lack of cupholder problem solved

I think we can all agree that the lack of cupholders on the 1st design interior is annoying. The solution comes from the wonderful world of imports.

Its a single din cupholder/coin holder that can be mounted under an aftermarket radio. I honestly dont know if this is a JDM part or if it came standard in some Honda or Acura, so check your local pick-a-part before shelling out $45 for this. I know it shouldnt be in a 1992-95 Civic so dont look there.

Yeah that is a JDM part.. I had looked at picking one of those up for my Integra back in the day... Pretty cool setup... Luckily I don't have to worry about not having any cup holders in my XJ!! LOL That is the reason I like the 97+ IM so much more, other than I like the dash layout!!

I've got a 97+ center console in the garage I'd part with. It's got 2 great cup holders.

I had an 01 GSR that had been upgraded completely to being a Type R, and a fully build B18 w/turbo, Type R trans w/ LSD... Loved that thing, unfortunately it got totaled while I was in basic training for the Air Force.. Been looking to pick up another Honda to build up and enjoy with the XJ

I double up the cardboard cup carriers from fast food places. It works alright. I used to have a 00 XJ. It spoiled me with the cup holder. Shoulda took the console out and put it in my 94 before I sold it.

I bought one of those cup holders that go beside yer seat and mounted it right under the glove box.Holds bottle drinks pretty good on road we wont discuss off road lol

That is an excellent idea man.
Too bad I want my a/c controls and head unit.
But now that I think of it if its possible you can remove the vent right under the radio and put it there.

Ummmm buying the later model center console and modifying the brake lever setup is fairly cheap...I paid roughly 70 for all mine got deeper center console, two cupholders and better Ebrake design
