Hey guys....been forever since I have been on here. Got a question. I have a '00 and thinking I am needing to replace the U joints in my front drive shaft. I am wanting to know what all I am needing to buy to get this done. A buddy told me about a replacement kit. Can someone shed some light? Thanks.

do you know which ones have play in them? usually they dont all go out at the same time... unless your name is Patrick, then the whole damn thing breaks at once... but anyways, I've always been told rebuilding the double cardan joint in the front shaft is a PITA...
but here's a great link...

prc....i have not climbed under there and messed around yet. I am getting a lot of vibration right under my feet on the drivers side. More so at highway speeds. Thought I would just replace it all.

The common thing around here is to just run to the junkard and grab a good one out of a newer low milage jeep for 50 bucks or less

with vibration at highway speeds I would pull the front shaft to confirm its the front... When mine was vibrating right under my feet, I too thought it was the front shaft... but it was actually the rear shaft when i drove it without the front in

So I found the cause of the vibrations. Bad pinion bearings and seal. I know what I will be doing this weekend.
