Hi all,

Where is the thermo sensor for the auxillary electric fan on a '94 4.0l Cherokee:confused: My car hits 100 on the temp gauge and still no fan:rolleyes: The fan works when the A/C is switched on but doesn't come on with the higher water temp.:sad0147:

Thank you:D

The switch is located on the thermostat housing on the '94. The auxiliary fan is set to come on at 220° fahrenheit and back off at 200°, at least on the U.S. version.

See it sticking out of the right side?

Also, i would suggest trying the relay first.

100 C would be 212 F so that may be a little shy of the point where the electric fan would come on.

Oliver, the switch for high temp is the ECM which activates the efan relay. It will not switch it on until it senses a temp of 217°

Hi all:D

Thank you for the replies:drinking:

The 217degF thing could be the trick. Might not be getting hot enough:rolleyes: Will keep an eye on it now:check:

I have put a new fan clutch on it over the weekend and it seems to be helping - damned tight in there! :fighting0074:

Right, off to work!!:smiley-chores037:

It's the same on export versions as well.
For those whose temp. gauge (like mine) is in degrees Celcius, the auxiliary electric fan switches on at ~105*C and off at ~95*C.
