You could have any color you wanted, as long as it was green

Makes me think of all the things those Jeeps saw. I bet there are some incredible stories.

And the Government wanders where all the money goes, they could have recouped a lot of the money spent just bringing them back home!

wow - all that recycling material ... :rolleye0012:

I wouldnt worry too much about the jeep waste .... everybody that bought a honda for the next 30yrs probably got a little bit of jeep in it ....

hmmmm ... might be why the 1970s' Civics were such sturdy little rockets ... :D

whooda thunk ... that pile of scrap would be drooled over by us all .... 60/70 years later ??? ... ;)

rofl! Nice play sir. Only problem.... "color" instead of "colour" would've been a tad more believable! :smiley-laughing021: :smiley-taunt002:

cost of shipping those home would have been at least 3 million a ship load. and that's before the cost of the sailors payroll. Still sad that so many were lost that way but then, think about the first Hum Vee's the military cut them all up for many years so no one could get the "new" technology and use it against us.

I would love to have one of the trailers... but would still love to get my hands on a few of the Jeeps to rebuild and sale... and of course keep at least one of them... Wonder if these yards are still around on these islands.. Looks like I need to do some research with some friends that are stationed on these islands...
