Got a Wrangler? Maybe a friend with one? http://www.WranglerTalk.com/

Hi. My name is Marcelo. I'm from Uruguay (South America).
I have a 1998 XJ Sport, 4.0 and manual transmission. It's pretty stock, just 2" spacers and MT tires (are Khumo, they say 31.5" but actually are 29"). Here the trails are mud, sand or water crossing. Nothing of rock crawling.
The last week I bought a Safari Snorkel. When it arrives I will install it with the 4 Hella that I have.

The stuff I'd like to add is:

- Lift kit Rubicon Express 4.5" and Bilsteins shocks.
- Swap rear axle for an OE Chrysler 8.25 with 4.10 ratio and trac lok
- Re-gear Dana 30 with 4.10 and install a locker (powertrax maybe)
- Bushwacker fenders
- 32x11 or 33x10 MT tires.
- HD tie rod (Currie, JCR, other).
- JCR bumpers
- KOR roof rack.
- Winch cradle
- Warn VR1000
- etc.

In my case the difference is almost 2". I have a spare 15x8 wheels that can't use because the fenders. But I can't complain about the performance. In the sand do also well with 20lbs and having good RPMs. In the city and highways hardly can hear them. The engine is louder :-)

Marcelo, great pics and you obviously use your XJ for what it was intended. A 4X4 that goes anywhere with more comfort than other Jeeps.

:welcome: to xjtalk from Delaware/Maryland!! You have a nice looking XJ, and a great list of mods that I know I look forward to seeing get done.. I would give you an option to the Bushcracker flares you are looking at getting, take a look at one of our vendors Napier Precision Products (http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=9691) flares, they are the same look of the BW, but far better material, and a better price.. Not to mention he actually stands behind his products. I have seen his flares ran across rocks, and used as a pivot point around a tree on a tight trail, and stand up to it... not crack or shatter like the BW brand flares usually do, especially after some time in the sun/weather!!
