How to renew my Alfa's carpet?

I'm about to install the carpet in my Spider, I would like to renew it before.
Any ideas how to do it?
(besides washing...)

more like discolored.
actually, I spent 2 hours today cleaning it from the cats hair, it looks much better now.
I will know tomorrow, after the soap will dry, how good/bad is it.

I have used carpet cleaning machines with upholstery attachments with success

I used spray vinal dye on a old honda, worked great! I just used a stiff brush to get it soft again
