Well maybe that's why mine is higher in front even though I have a 5.5" in lift rear, and 4.5" front.

Mine suppose to have 4.5" front, 4.75" rear but is definitively raked. Go figure.

So the good news the shifting issue is resolved :sign0181: The license plate light is relocated to the tire so its time to regrear and roll. So when Jan1 hits it will be insured :D

awesome work man... the GOOD thing is that those spacers come cheap at the junkyards... and they come in 3/4 inch increments so your able to fine tune them!

Pssst I don't give up :driving:
It was a the turbine sensor and the pickup changes that got me.
1. The TC adapters are different 87~98 same 99+ different
2. That is the 99+ turbine sensor, Pickup is 4inputs per rev
3. That is the 98 on down turbine sensor, Pickup is 1 per rev
Visual reference 99+ sensor has no pigtail and bolts to the TC adapter, 98 on down has a alignment tab and a pig tail off the sensor.

So great new the Jeep is inspected and I kicked out 170miles in gear/engine break in. The temp stayed under 210 the entire trip with a/c part of the time. Also I ordered 4 tires for Treadwright. I did rotate the driveshafts 180 degrees to see if it helps with the vibs and it did. And the dorman 81018 axle straps are crap the ujoint had some play

01-08-2013, 07:25 AM
So here is the latest.
Been chasing down the vibs at 65+ I've found this
1. The tranny mount was 190 degress out (how this happened i have no clue)
2. The dana 30 yoke has side play. The ujoint doesn't fit sung so this will be on order (dorman straps had to be modded to hold the u-joint in place)
http://lgcdn.jeep4x4center.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/u/-/u-bolt-yoke-conversion-kit-tf-4240444-mc_2025.jpg
3. I will be picking up my angle finder tonight from the shop. In my opinion a 3 degree shim will be all I can use. In the pics its hard to see since its so little. I still may move the front shaft to the rear to see if its a balance issue on the driveshaft.

http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/m639/sellitx/photobucket-13657-1357528757400.jpg
4. At this point the rear gears are getting quieter at 250miles and the Temp is just below 210
5. My new rubber will be here Thursday :( (Just after the monsoon were getting)

So today of all days was the Jeeps main voyage into the urban jungle (Houston TX) my 45~mile trip in was mixed 75mph and stop and go traffic. I did a few screen shots to show engine temp and speed. After sitting still I added a few more things to check out :)
about 15 miles from the house

Does it block your view outside? Are video displays illegal (while moving) if the driver can see them?

I like this idea. I've always wanted to do a swing out tire carrier on the rear but hated the idea of blocking my rear visibility. Might just solve that issue. Hmmm...

I thought of this after. I have a smart phone mounted to my windshield, and a GPS mounted to the dash just above the dash line.
I have noticed that the backlight from these screens make it hard to see. At night mainly, but a rapid change in lighting conditions could make it hard to see outside.
I wonder not only how much windshield this covers, but also how much glare is caused by the back lite screen. I'm sure the brightness can be adjusted, or it may even have an auto adjust. I'm just throwing this out there as a consideration of something that otherwise would seem to be a great idea.

It doesn't look like that particular one was made for a rear view, so i would doubt it has auto darkening. But one would think they're made. I see where your going, and it is a concern. Hmmm. Perhaps a night vision mode would be okay for night driving. Wouldn't be able to use the regular mode at night anyways.

This one measured 3 1/2

So yesterday is was 80ish out and I stared my 48mile trip back to the house and here is the outcome of the dirtbound setup
http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/m639/sellitx/screenshot_zps30ec7e35.jpg (http://s1135.photobucket.com/user/sellitx/media/screenshot_zps30ec7e35.jpg.html)
I was running the a/c too, 90% of the trip it was 208 and 210 was the max
You're block is .030 over, right?

So a update on the Dirtbound fan setup, My first test in gridlock traffic.
I sat in this traffic this am for over a hour

To my surprise it maintained this temp. oh no a/c this am the road temp was 70

Still iffy about the dirtbound fan setup, but here is my results from a 90degree day
208~213 its pretty steady 213 with the air on at 75 mph. It only hits 208 when you come to a stop after 45mph+. I did see a few spikes of 219 last week while i was putting through town.

So I finally replaced the airbag module to get the "airbag light" to turn off on the dash. I did do some running around town last night to get oil and a filter for the next oil change and the temp was spot on 210. All city driving with the a/c on and the outside temp was 90

Well the Dirtbound fan setup was pulled this weekend. It just can't handle the Texas heat in stop and go traffic. My max reading making a food run was 238. This was a quick 15 min trip but all red lights. I was able to get cooled back down to 208 on the freeway. The temp via overhead was 95 and we still have another 10~20 degrees to go. With a wheeling trip this weekend I'm not gonna risk a 3500 mile motor so I installed a GC fan clutch.

Oh! For some reason I was thinking you had bought two front doors. I didn't see the dent on both those doors in the other picture. Now I know why you wouldn't tell me the color. :smiley-laughing021:

So after giving the HD GC fan clutch a go from autozone. I will be pulling it tonight due to it never slipping and giving me about 130 miles to a tank. The last tank I had some towing but all 50mph other than 40 miles of towing.
I will give the Hayden - Cooling Fan Clutch Part # 2625 a try from Oreilly's

So for the latest on that fan clutch, I'm happy to report my POWER is back and my mpg :bacondance::bacondance::bacondance:. I say it a winner since it handled wheeling last Saturday. The jeep is back to a DD state and holding 220 degrees at 75mph a/c on with the heat index at 108. If i had to guess road temps at 120+ (you can smell last years road tar job at the house) and 80+ humidity (you never dry off after a shower). So the next item on my list is the upper control arm bushings (Axle side) I ordered the Rubicon Express RE3762 units
http://www.quadratec.com/Assets/Images/52362/52362-lg.jpg
i'm trying to get the noise out of the front end and this will be the last set of bushings to complete a front end rebuild. I'll have some install pics when done

So i'm still chasing vibs, I made a driveline change yesterday (swapped the tranny mount 180) and this is the first time i checked the front pinion angle. So here is my outcome after moving the transfer case over 2 inches. Also the Tom Woods shaft was way out of balance
