I got the adapter for Christmas (similar to the one Tony has), and made a video awhile back. With shipping I have like $30 invested between the adapter & the app for my phone.

Things like this are great! Do you remember when external GPS units were $700 to $1500?!?!?!? The smart phone pretty much put an end to that. I purchased 3 OBDII scanners, hand held, for Christmas presents. $21 each. Yeah capitalism works sometimes. :D

I need to get another one. The one I originally purchased didn't work and had to return it but they didn't have any available so I just got a refund.

Very nice.
Does anyone know if that can identify ABS errors too?
Saar.
(my ABS light is on, I suspect the front left wheel, but it would be nice to be sure before removing parts...)

I would love to pick this up to use for my Jeep and the truck... not to mention using it for other people's cars when they have issues!!

It is certainly cheaper than what I paid for my code reader, but it does all the OBDI and II though

For my XJ and the Ram as well as most vehicles I end up working on I only need the OBDII... but it is nice to have that option if it is needed to be able to do OBDI as well...

In my case, the Jeep is OBDI and my cars are OBDII. So I needed to be able to do both

I don't think this replaces a real code reader. It's just nice and handy for little things.
