I was just wondering how other people are dealing with gas prices. I personally take my 06 Corolla as a work car, but still drive my Jeep when I am off. Only because in traffic there is a lot of idle sitting, and gas went from 3.65 to 3.79 in two days time. I really can not wait till I get moved up at my job, and start bringing home a little over 100 more a week. I will be able to drive the Jeep more!

We need to demand that the Federal government require these speculators to have to take delivery of the oil they purchase. That's when they stop running the price up on something they never intended to purchase, just make money off of.

Yeah I agree but mine isn't two years old yet so I don't think I can get away with that!

And just think, our energy secretary thinks the price is where it should be now. He wants it up double in 5 years

This reminded me of this image I saw a week or two ago. I agree, it would be nice if the speculators were required to take immediate possession within a certain, very short, time frame to help keep them from driving the prices up.

Along with a few other things- like the national debt. Its now up to over $15.5 trillion and increases $4.01 billion a DAY or $48,000 a SECOND. Found this neat site that you can view the debt going up in real time.

I'm happy I got my '04 Jetta TDI back in Jan and only have to fill up once a week, but I hope diesel stays under $4/gal. Been sitting at $3.95 ~ 4.00 most places around me.

The work truck sips gas at around $700 a week, glad we don't have to cover that anymore. A few years ago when gas was 4.50ish we did cover our own fuel and it was getting over $4000 a month. But we did get a fuel surcharge which helped recover some of that.

Of course some days its $400 alone, getting 13 mpg by the way.
