    I live in a high wind environment. One strut on each side is much more secure (No wind flutter) and I feel better working under the hood.

    Yes, there is some drilling to do. I used self tapping screws and 2 rivets. I would prefer rivets but only used 2 as a test of their strength. So far so good, almost a year now. Brackets could be...

    Those hood props are a pain. And the hood is heavy. Opening when hot feels like my hands are burning.
    The best solution is to use your old liftgate supports from the rear hatch.
    They mount easily...
