Ah, exhaust tick. Glad you mentioned that. A manifold leak can suck air into the system and make the O2 sensor read lean. How are your plugs?

You didn't say if you had a check engine light, but I suspect you don't. I also suspect you have not changed your O2 sensor in some time, if at all. I think your fuel/air mixture is too lean caused...
